Our Memberships

Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, Errinrung is a Retirement Home and a Nursing Home under one roof. Within a bright and cheerful atmosphere, Errinrung is dedicated to providing a continuum of care to meet your retirement living needs.

Something very special at Errinrung is their Camperdown Elm Tree, also known as a Umbrella Elm or Weeping Elm, it is originated from Dundee Scotland from the original Camperdpwn Elm that was produced in 1640 by "Earl of Camperdown".  When the new part of the building was added, the architects went back to the drawing boards to incorporate the tree into the building.  The tree is over 60 years old and huge part of Errinrung's history.  To know more about the Camperdown Elm ask the Staff for more details.

Our guiding philosophy is excellence in service and care, while respecting the dignity and privacy of the individual. We foster a family atmosphere and encourage residents to remain socially active with relatives and friends.

With downtown Thornbury just two minutes away, Errinrung is conveniently located close to the post office, library, shopping, and main thoroughfares.

Errinrung was the first home that Provincial Long Term Care Inc bought and started their Nursing Home, Retirement Home Facilities.  They bought Errinrung 40 years ago this year 2013.

Provincial Long Term Care Inc. is a family owned and operated group of dual long term care and retirement homes located in small towns across Ontario. Our family is dedicated to the care and well being of the frail and elderly in small towns for over 30 years.

We've served the Retirement Home needs of our clients since 1973, and Long Term Care since 1981.

Our goal has always been to provide the best care possible in a personalized, home-like setting with our doors open to the community. This inclusive approach has helped us to develop strong community ties including strong links with valuable volunteers.

Each Home has a current three-year Accreditation award, which is the highest award presented by the CCHSA. This has been our standard for over a decade.
